থিম নির্বাচন
আপনি ওয়েব ব্লগ তৈরি করবেন আর তার একটি সুন্দর থিম দিবেন না? জ্বী, টিউনার পেইজের দিকে তাকান একটি সুন্দর একটি থিম দিয়েছে আপনাদের। এই থিমটি প্রেমিয়াম মানে টাকা খরচ করে কেনা হয়েছে। কিন্তু কয়জনের সামর্থ্য আছে থিম কেনার। আর যেহেতু আপনি একটি ফ্রি ব্লগ তৈরি করবেন তাই থিমও ফ্রি নিন। ওয়ার্ডপ্রেস আপনাদের মতো যারা ফ্রি ব্যবহারকারিদের কথা চিন্তা করে রেখেছে ১১৫++ ফ্রি থিমের কালেকশান। আপনার যেটি ইচ্ছা সেটা নির্বাচন করে ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন।
এবার থিম নির্বাচনের পালা। প্রখমে ড্যাসবোর্ড যান। এবার বামপাশের প্যানেল থেকে Appearance >>> Themes নির্বাচন করুন। তাহলে আপনার সামনে অনেকগুলো থিম চলে আসবে। এবার আপনার পচ্নদ অনুযায়ী থিম নির্বাচন করুন। আপনার যে থিমটি পচন্দ হয় সে থিমের নিচে দেখবেন দুটি বাটন আছে Active এবং Preview. আপনি থিম নির্বাচন করার আগে Preview বাটনে ক্লিক করলে আপনার থিম দেখতে কেমন হবে তা দেখাবে, পচন্দ হলে Active বাটনে ক্লিক করুন। তাহলেই আপনার ব্লগের থিম সিলেক্ট হয়ে যাবে। থিম নির্বাচন মোটামুটি এই রকমই। আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে পরেও থিম পরিবর্তন করতে পারবেন। ধরি, আপনি Fusion থিমটি নির্বাচন করেছেন।
উইগেট নির্বাচন
এবার আপনারা একটি লক্ষ্য করুন টিউনার পেইজের প্রথম পাতার বাম দিকে অনেকগুলো উইগেট আছে। যেমন- চেইন টিউনের ২টি উইগেট, ক্যালেন্ডার, সার্চ বক্স, টিউন সাবইস্ক্রাইব ইত্যাদি। এগুলোর সবগুলোই উইগেট। ব্লগকে সাজাতে ও ব্লগে কাজ করার সুবিধার্থে এগুলো ব্যবহার করা হয়।
ওয়ার্ডপ্রেস অনেকগুলো ডিফল্ট উইগেট রয়েছে। তবে আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে HTML কোড দিয়ে আরও উইগেট তৈরি করতে পারেন। উইগেট নির্বাচনের জন্য Appearance >>> Widgets এ যান। ডান পাশে দেখুন অনেকগুলো উইগেট আছে। ধরি, আপনি Fusion থিমটি নির্বাচন করেছেন। তাহলে আপনি নিচের মতো একটি পাতা দেখতে পাবেন।
টিউনার পেইজের প্রথম পাতায় দেখুন ডান পাশে যে উইগেট প্যানেল আছে এটি হল Primary Widget Area আর নিচের দিকে যে উইগেট প্যানেল আছে এটি হল Footer Widget Area. এছাড়াও আপনারা অনেক ব্লগে দেখতে পাবেন দুটি উইগেট প্যানেল থাকে ডানে বা বামে। এগুলোর মধ্যে যেটি প্রধান সেটি হল Primary Widget Area, এরপর হল Secondary Widget Area এর বেশি হলে আরও নাম থাকবে। আরেকটি প্যানেল দেখবেন আপনার ব্লগের উইগেট অংশে তাহল Available Widgets. এই অংশ থেকে আপনার যে উইগেটটি প্রয়োজন তা ড্রাগ করে মানে মাউস চেপে ধরে Primary Widget Area/ Secondary Widget Area/ Footer Widget Area যে কোন প্যানেলের নিচে ছেড়ে দিলেই আপনার ব্লগে চলে আসবে।
এবার কয়েকটি উইগেটের বর্ণনা নিচে দিলাম
• Blog Subscriptions >> আপনার ব্লগে দেয়া কোন নতুন পোষ্টের স্বয়ংক্রিয় আপডেট পেতে এটি দিতে পারেন। এটি আপনি টিউনার পেইজের প্রথম দিকেই দেখেন।
• Blog Stats >> আপনার ব্লগে কতজন ভিজিটর এসেছেন, তা এখান থেকে জানতে পারবেন।
• Calender >> ক্যালন্ডার হলে তারিখে বিন্যাস। এটি ভিজিটরসহ আপনার সুবিধার্থে দিতে পারেন। এক্ষেত্রে আপনি কোন তারিখে কোন কোন পোষ্ট করেছেন তারও এখান থেকে দেখা যাবে।
• Categories >> ক্যাটাগরি বা বিভাগ। আমরা বিভিন্ন পোষ্ট করে থাকি, কোন পোষ্ট কোন ক্যাটাগরির তারজন্য এটি ব্যবহার করা হয়। টিউনার পেইজে এই রকম প্রায় ৩৩টি বিভাগ রয়েছে। এটি সারিবদ্ধ ভাবে থাকে।
• Category Cloud >> ক্যাটাগরির মেঘ, আপনি ক্যাটাগরি বা বিভাগ উপরেরটা বা এটা যে কোন একটি নির্বাচন করতে পারেন। এটি নির্বাচন করলে আপনার ক্যাটাগরিগুলো মেঘের মতো দেখতে পারবেন।
• Flickr >> ইয়াহুতে ছবি সংরক্ষণের একটি বিভাগ আছে এর নাম Flickr. আপনার যদি Flickr এ ছবি থাকে তাহলে এখানে লিংক দিলে আপনার ছবিগুলো এখানে দেখাবে।
• Gravatar >> গ্যাভাটারে আপনার যে ছবি ও তার উপর যে বর্ণনা আছে তা এখানে দেখাবে।
• Image >> আপনি যদি কোন নিদিষ্ট ছবি দেখাতে চান, তাহলে এখানে তার লিংক, নাম ও বর্ণনা দিলে তা আপনার ব্লগে দেখাবে।
• Links >> আপনার পচন্দনীয় যে ওয়েবসাইট সেগুলোর লিংক দিতে পারেন বা আপনার অন্য ব্লগগুলোর লিংক দিতে পারেন।
• Meta >> আপনার ড্যাসবোর্ড দ্রুত আসার জন্য এটি ব্যবহার করতে পারেন।
• Pages >> আপনার ব্লগে কয়টি পাতা আছে ও সেগুলোর লিংকসহ নাম দেখাবে।
• Recent Comments >> আপনার ব্লগে সর্বশেষ কে কে মন্তব্য করেছেন তার নাম, ছবি ও কোথায় মন্তব্য করেছে, তা দেখাবে। টিউনার পেইজের নিচের দিকে দেখুন এমনি একটি উইগেট আছে।
• Recent Posts >> সর্বশেষ আপনি কি কি পোষ্ট করেছে তার লিষ্ট, শিরোনামসহ লিংক দেখাবে। টিউনার পেইজের নিচের দিকে দেখেন।
• Search >> আপনার ব্লগের কোন তথ্য ভিজিটররা দ্রুত পেতে এটি ব্যবহার করুন।
• Text >> কোন লেখা দেখানোর জন্য বা HTML Editor এর মাধ্যমে যে কোন কিছু দিতে পারেন।
• Top Clicks >> আপনার ব্লগে ভিজিটররা যে যে লিংকে বেশি ক্লিক করেছে সেগুলো দেখতে পারবেন। এগুলো দৈনিক হিসেবে।
• Top Posts & Pages >> সবচেয়ে বেশি দেখা পোষ্ট ও পাতাগুলো দেখবে (এগুলো দৈনিক হিসেবে)।
• Twitter >> আপনার যদি টুইটার একাউন্ট থাকে, তাহলে তার লিংক দিলে এখানে সর্বশেষ আপডেটগুলো দেখাবে।
